AVG internet security is one of the most popular internet security suites in the market. The software is essentially an antivirus that offers the additional services of a two way firewall, spam and phishing detection and protection against rootkits infiltration. It is manufactured by the Czech Company AVG.

As aforementioned, AVG Internet Security is internet security software that offers protection against any infiltrations when surfing the web such as viruses, rootkits, malware, spam and phishing. The current version of the software is the AVG Internet Security 2012 and it is available as commercial paid software. Some of the basic features of the software include;

Aside from the basic features, there are additional features that make this software even more effective. These include the parental controls and the PC analyser. However, accessing these two features requires that you pay an extra amount of money. There is also the gaming mode feature which is a mark of good security software. However, this feature is not included in the default settings and has to be checked at the firewall area.
AVG Internet Security has some basic requirements in order to be compatible with the PC in which it is being installed. These include;

AVG Internet Security is very easy to install as you only need to click a small dialogue box after downloading and the installation automatically completes itself within a few minutes. It has a good detection rate and it also easily blocks malware. However, the product also has some cons which include; an antiquated firewall and a spam filter that is not as effective.
